The Summit offers industry attendees and interested members of the public the opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities of creative and documentary work made in gaming worlds, through discussion and structured networking.
The first half will focus on Storytelling in Gaming with discussions on both creative processes and business models. The second half turns to Yorkshire as a Creative Lab, with a discussion on Yorkshire as a centre for tech excellence and cutting edge interactive prototype presentations. The event will be hosted by Emmy-nominated creative leader Zillah Watson who works at the cutting edge of technology as Co-founder of Phase Space Ltd, Hon Prof at UCL, Visiting Research Fellow/Lecturer at Goldsmiths and Former head of BBC VR.

Storytelling in Gaming: Challenge Lab - Prototype Presentations
Five teams selected from a global call out will work over two days at DocFest's Challenge Lab to create prototypes of new interactive experiences in gaming platforms. They will present these prototypes to Summit attendees, followed by feedback from the Yorkshire as a Centre of Tech Excellence panellists.
