After the screening, we warmly invite you to join a movement workshop curated by Falasteen on Film and led by Safiyya Lea, a Birmingham-based theatre maker and filmmaker known for her work in experimental performance, live art, and movement-led storytelling. This workshop is gentle and adaptable, welcoming everyone interested in taking part.

In this session, we will explore what it means to be a witness, both on your own and as a group, through expressive movement that uses techniques from miming and clowning. You'll also have the chance to leave your mark with paint, symbolising a commitment not just to bear witness but to take action. This piece of cloth will accompany the film programme, serving as a collective statement for taking meaningful steps following our experiences of witnessing.

In collaboration with Falasteen on Film
Falasteen on Film is an expansive cultural organisation working on political, social and community issues, which are explored through film and complementary art-based workshops and discussion. https://falasteenonfilm.org/
