Under the Brazilian sun and awash with the sounds of the sea, surfer Alice arises from waves of bigotry to live a joyful life as a trans woman.

Co-written by director Gabriel Novis and its titular protagonist, this stunning sun-soaked film takes us on a journey from darkness to light. Inspired to surf by the memory of her father, whom she lost to suicide, Alice finds her love for the sport tainted by the toxic, transphobic responses to her presence by other surfers. Despite this conservative environment, and the well-documented discrimination and violence against the trans community in Brazil, we see Alice journeying towards her full self - living joyfully and surrounded by trans-affirming friendships.

Contains references to suicide and violence towards the trans community
