A bison, prevented from returning to its native herd by a wall on the Polish-Belarusian border, witnesses dramatic events.

Separated from its herd in the Białowieża Forest, a bison becomes a silent witness to the ecological and humanitarian crises unfolding around it. Through the bison’s eyes, Wojciech Węglarz explores the devastating effects of arbitrary national borders and their infrastructure on both humans and nonhumans. Stunning cinematography and meticulous editing evoke a sense of loss, fear and anger, reflecting the broader consequences of political decisions. Bloodline is a haunting and profoundly human meditation on displacement, belonging and the invisible victims of border conflicts.

Contains reference to human and non-human cruelty and death
