An immersive journey into the hidden reality of domestic abuse, Space for Action gives voice to survivors and the silent systems that failed them.
Space for Action is a powerful Virtual Reality experience created by Australian survivors of family and domestic violence. Through visceral soundscapes and spatial storytelling, it recreates the emotional and physical sensations of entrapment, grooming, and gaslighting—tactics used by perpetrators to slowly erode autonomy and freedom. As survivors recount their lived experiences, the viewer is placed within environments that mirror the shrinking 'space for action' women face in abusive relationships. More than a testimony, this immersive piece challenges the systems that silence survivors and often fail to protect them. By amplifying their voices, Space for Action calls for awareness, accountability, and change.
