There’s only two weeks left to apply for a place in the Sheffield DocFest 2022 marketplaces. The deadline for both MeetMarket and Alternate Realities Talent Market entries is 4 March.
The MeetMarket is one of the world’s largest documentary and factual markets and pitching forums. Selected projects will have the opportunity to meet with international industry representatives among 300+ international funders, broadcasters, distributors, festival programmers and exhibitors.
Last week, MeetMarket alumni Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh’s debut feature Writing With Fire earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary feature. The film shines a light on a unique, women-only news collective in small-town northern India.
