A delegation from Northern Norway attends the festival to connect with colleagues and international audiences and financiers. Meet our filmmakers. The delegation is hosted by Nordnorsk Filmsenter AS (NNFS) – Norway’s oldest regional film centre, established in 1981. We work closely with the filmmakers to develop the film industry in Northern Norway.

Aaslaug Vaa | Director and Producer

What is your favourite documentary of all time? ""The Seasons", Artavazd Peleshyan (1975)

What do you consider is the best documentary from your nation or region? "A Priest and a Nuisance!"/En prest og en plage", Fridtjof Kjæreng (2014) 

In 2016 she debuted with the cinema documentary “Every song a story”. She has developed and produced short documentary films with and for children and youth.

Andrew Grant | Producer

Producer with Mattima Films in the north of Norway. Born in NYC, but living and working between Berlin & Mo i Rana, Norway for 10 years. Mattima Films is interested in docs that transcend the genre, and find new forms.

Benedikte Bredesen | Producer

f(x) productions is an independent Norwegian production company established in 1995 to serve the film and TV market with innovative films. Benedikte Bredesen has worked as a producer in f(x) productions since 2009.

What is your favourite documentary of all time? The Act of Killing

Educated as an actress, her exceptional dramatic talent has since 28 years taken her to major roles in cinema, TV and theatre. KARENINA & I is the first documentary she produced starring Liam Neeson.

Øyvind Nyborg Gregersen | Producer

Born and raised in Mo i Rana, Norway. Always been been both curious and creative. Works as a very hands-on producer for Mattima Films, actively participating in the creative process of the company’s projects.

Tales is a director and screenwriter based in Norway, he's graduated in Law and worked in the Judicial system before studying films. His works have been exhibited on TVBrasil and at Kraków Museum of Contemporary Art.

Director, screenwriter and producer. He was assistant to Milos Forman and Marco Ferreri, and, for many years, director of Capalbio IFF. His film debut was THE FLOATING ISLAND. He directed the award-winning KARENINA & I.
